After speaking with a close friend of mine, Robert, I decided that I needed to start a blog, to publish my thoughts and interact with others who are trying to live out what it means to be a person of good news. I am currently reading The Shaping of Things to Come by Michael Frost and Alan Hirsch. I hope to capture some of my thoughts as I read through this book and see if I can add some points of reference for my life. So this is the beginning....

I agree with your friend Robert. Blogging has been not only a way for me to keep track of profound thoughts I've experienced, but events as well. I plan on printing my blog entirely out in a book format some day. One item that caught my interest a year or so ago was a passage in the bible (can't remember which right now) that mentioned that Abraham created rock piles so that when their children passed by generations later, they would ask why they were there. Stories would be told of God's greatness and how He helped Abraham and what the events were at that time in their lives. I believe I/we need to do the same for our (future) children.
